Implimentation structure

How We Implement Our Programs

At the Sarah Arebu Tahir Foundation, transparency and accountability are at the heart of everything we do. Every dollar entrusted to us is carefully directed toward lasting change—building schools, equipping classrooms, training teachers, and ensuring children in rural Ethiopia have the chance to thrive.

Project management

Our implementation structure ensures that progress is measurable, sustainable, and community-driven. By combining local contributions, partner support, and careful oversight, we maximize impact while keeping our donors and partners informed every step of the way.

  • Construction & Facilities

We build strong foundations for education by constructing modern schools, including 2 blocks with 10 classrooms, administrative offices, restrooms, and green outdoor learning spaces. These facilities reduce overcrowding and create safe, nurturing environments for learning.

  • Classroom & Learning Resources

From desks and chairs to libraries, science labs, and ICT equipment, we supply the tools students and teachers need to succeed. Resources also include sports equipment, digital devices, and internet access to prepare students for the modern world.

  • Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH)

Clean water and sanitation are critical to keeping children healthy and in school. We install water tanks, distribution points, and handwashing stations, and we also provide hygiene and sanitation training to ensure long-term impact.

  • Teacher & Leader Training

We invest in people as much as in buildings. Our training programs equip teachers and school leaders with the skills, resources, and ongoing support needed to deliver high-quality education.

  • Community Integration & Green Classrooms

Open spaces are transformed into educational gardens and green areas, linking environmental education with practical learning. Local community members also contribute land, labor, and funding, creating ownership and sustainability.

  • Monitoring & Evaluation

We regularly assess learning outcomes, school attendance, and infrastructure use. These evaluations guide improvements and ensure accountability to our donors, partners, and the communities we serve.

  • Funding Transparency

Our projects are supported by a balanced funding model:

    • Local Community Contributions (20%) – $68,775 in land, labor, and resources.
    • SATF Commitment (80%) – $275,101 pledged.
    • External Support & Sponsorships – including school furniture sponsorships and global donor contributions.

Together, these efforts have already raised $93,000, with a clear remaining balance of $146,826 to complete current projects.
